Metavilla

Turning the exhibition into an inhabited and collective space.
Inhabited architectural light sculpture

Metavilla refers to the theme of the 2006 Venice Biennale, Meta-Cité, and was realized at the invitation of the French pavilion curator, the architect Patrick Bouchain. A scaffolding structure occupied half of the pavilion and went through the glass ceiling to expand onto the roof with its view of the city. The project involved other artists and architects such as Daniel Buren (in charge of the entrance) and Liliana Motta (responsible for the roof garden).

For three months the installation was regularly activated through different events and the exhibition space opened to other activities. Among seminars and parties, the workshops Resident-META produced the projection mapping installation GRrrrrridWAVE.
